The history of 3B Hungaria starts with the establishment of the Conveyor Plant in Zalaegerszeg in 1960s. The Conveyor Plant used to be one of the biggest plants in machine industry, which planned and produced material conveyors. Later in 1970s it operated as Aluminium Industry Plant as a plant of the Hungarian Aluminium Industry Trust and mainly provided national aluminium industry plants with machines and component parts.

In 1990s the orders kept decreasing, there were changes in the management and lay offs. Some young engineers and managers involved in the lay offs were encouraged by a German company to establish a German-Hungarian venture. The encouraging German company was the 3B System GmbH whose name comes from the German "Bauindustrie, Bergbau and Baustoffbetriebe" words.

At the beginning we were planning and coordinating production in a small office mainly for the German market. Within some years we managed to develop several new products together with the German partners which made it possible to undertake more important tasks. More and more people got to know our products in the Western-European market.

Meanwhile, with bank support we managed to purchase part of the plant of ALUGEP that was going bankrupt so we could take over production gradually. Market demands were increasing so the staff increased from 5 to 110 people.

Meanwhile the owners' structure was also reshaped and we became a family enterprise in 100%. With continuous developments we try to remain a significant player in the market. We plan our products and complete material conveyor systems with 3D planning soft wares. We work with the most modern CNC driven laser cutting, edge bending, plasma cutting, metal cutting and profile elaborating machines and tools. A welding robot facilitates the production of the conveyor shell from which we produce the highest number of products annually.

We use a grain spreading machine to prepare the suitable surface and enhanced our painting capacity with a new suspended conveyor track painting chamber, in which we can continuously paint smaller component parts. There is bar code identification in our workshop. To gain and keep our clients’ confidence we introduced an effective quality insurance system according to the requirements of MSZ EN ISO 9001:2000 standards.
